Pickling & Passivation
Our pickling and passivation operates to treat stainless steels in accordance with ASTM A380/A967 accordingly.
We can supply pickling and passivation as either one process or as a passivation only process (no material etching) for polished or finely machined parts.
Our default process is via immersion, however we can perform a flowed treatment if required.
The facility also extends to the cleaning of aluminium and titanium components, again the default treatment would be immersion but flow treatment is available if required.
With titanium or aluminium we can either remove surface contaminants in a process similar to passivation of stainless steel, or we can mildly etch the surface to provide a cleaner look on welded components
